ENGLISH CLASSES

Many people in our community are interested in improving their English language skills. Help us connect the need to the solution; spread the word about these 3 upcoming fall classes. When we start the fall semester, we will have 2 weeks to fill up these classes. Our fee-based program depends on your help. Some of you can tell your SUMMER students about these.

Conversational English and American Culture

Class Description:
This class is designed to engage students in listening and speaking activities related to real life settings in order to help develop fluency of spoken English. Students will master patterns of spoken American English through the study of pronunciation, tone, and conversation strategies. This class emphasizes the practical use of English and components of American culture. This class is open to anyone. However, the course content is more appropriate for intermediate and high-level English language learners.

LIBRARY NEWS FROM MRS. SQUIRES

It is time to turn in your Summer Reading Forms.  The deadline is Friday, Sept 2nd.  If you don't have a Summer Reading Form you may list the books that you read on a sheet of notebook paper, but be sure to print your name and your teacher's name at the top of the page and have your parents sign the list.  Any book that students read alone, with a parent, or to someone else, counts toward their Summer Reading Total.

Your librarian is on the web.  For library information visit the Tesoro Tiger Tales Wiki: [Click to view link]  For information about the reading, writing and sharing of children's books, read my blog - All About the Books: [Click to view link]
