 From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents,

Thank you for joining us to celebrate your child’s wonderful work during Open House.  I especially enjoyed the artwork, writing pieces, and technology projects.  We are so proud of our students that participated in the Science Fair.  Winners are listed in the next column.  All who participated in the Auction and Grab Bags had a lot of fun.  Thank you PTO and room parents for all your hard work.  Teachers did an outstanding job displaying student work and hosting the evening.  Thank you to our classified employees for helping with the finishing touches and for making our school sparkling clean.  There was technology happening in every room, and Ms. Anderson had the morning broadcast up and going in Room 1.  Our library was open to show our new computers and book collections, and our computer lab was in full swing.  Judy Umeck, School Board Member, and Bob Cutting, Assistant Superintendent of Business, were very impressed with all that is going on at Skyblue Mesa. From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone had a restful two weeks.  We were very busy with construction here at school.  The new classrooms will be set on their foundation on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.  All plumbing and fire lines went in over the break.  The crew worked on weekends to make up for rainy days and we are on schedule.   The classrooms will be finished this August.  Construction will be curtailed during testing and promotion ceremonies.  Please remember there is no supervision before 7:35 in the morning.  For safety, students should not arrive or be dropped off before 7:35am.

Spring has sprung and as the weather warms up students will begin to wear summer attire.  Please refer to the district dress code guidelines below.  This is also in your parent handbook.  If a student is out of dress code, parents will be called to bring the appropriate clothing/shoes.

 DRESS CODE

“Dress for Learning” is a first step toward maintaining the safety of students within our school and community and enhancing the learning process.”

  Apparel and grooming must not inhibit participation or cause disruption in any phase of the instructional program.  Casual clothing is recommended for school except for special “dress-up” occasions.  Tennis shoes are essential as students do not change for P.E. and feet need to be protected.  Students may wear More ...
