From the Principal’s Desk

We are going to pilot, playing first and eating second, at lunch for the next two weeks.  Santa Clarita Elementary School has been doing this for three years with great success.  One benefit of this program is students eating their lunches and drinking all of their drinks, instead of throwing them out so they can be first on the playground. Additionally students are calmer when they return to class.  The lunch times will not change. There are several details that are in place to make this successful.  I will let you know how it works out!

News from the Kitchen

The Kitchen will only accept cash or money orders until the end of the school year.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 

School Medication/Health Office

Please remember that you must pick up your child’s leftover medication on the last day of school.  We are not permitted to send the medication home with your child.  You may come to school in advance and take home the extra medication, leaving only enough until the end of the year, or you may come to the office on the last day of school to pick up your child’s medication.  PLEASE REMEMBER THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS A MINIMUM DAY!  Medications left after the last day of school will be discarded.

A.E.S Enrichment Summer Camp

Del Escritorio de la Principal

Vamos ha probar algo nuevo durante la hora de almuerzo (lunch).  Vamos a jugar primero y después comer, para las próximas dos semanas.  En el distrito de Saugus hay una escuela, Santa Clarita Elementary School, que esta usando este método con suceso.  Un beneficio de este programa es que niños comen todo su comida y tomen su bebidas, y no botan comida para llegar al patio primero.  También, niños son mas calmados cuando regresan a clase.  Las horas del “lunch” no van a cambiar.  Hay varios detalles que vamos hacer para que este cambio será un suceso.  Voy hacerles saber como va este gran cambio!

Medicina en la Escuela

    Oficina de Salud

Por favor recuerden que deben de recoger la medicina de sus niños el último día de clase.  No es permitido mandarla medicina con los niños a la casa.  POR FAVOR RECUERDE QUE EL DIA ULTIMO DE CLASES ES MINIMO (CORTO)!  Medicina que no sea recogida el último día será puesta en la basura.

 

A.E.S  Campo de Verano de Enriquecimiento

La semana pasada mandamos un folleto amarillo sobre el AES Campo de Verano de Enriquecimiento y queremos informarles de algunos cambios.  El pago de $75.00 para matricula se cambio a $25.00.  Otro descuento nuevo : para campistas que se quedan para la mañana y para la tarde A.S.E.
